Data Protection Officer

What we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and message text. We also store your cookie consent choice locally in your browser (see Cookies). We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking on this website.
Purposes and legal basis
We process inquiry data to respond to your request, prepare proposals, and perform pre-contract steps at your initiative (PDPA notice-and-choice; legitimate interest in answering business inquiries). We do not sell personal data.
Disclosure
Inquiry data may be accessed by staff and contractors bound by confidentiality who support Sync Grove Consulting. We may disclose data if required by Malaysian law or to protect rights and safety.
Security and retention
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to email and form handling. Inquiry records are kept only as long as needed to respond and administer the relationship, then deleted or anonymised unless law requires longer retention.
Your rights
Subject to PDPA 2010 (as amended), you may request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, and — where applicable from 2025 — data portability. Contact the DPO at the email above. You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
Data breaches
If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Commissioner as soon as practicable where required under section 12B (PDPA Amendment 2024), and affected individuals when significant harm is likely.
Cross-border transfers
If tools used to correspond with you involve processing outside Malaysia, we ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with PDPA requirements before transfer.
